Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee make one of the hottest couples on screen.
Abhishek is bound to be envied by his peers. He is considered as the most suited hero to Bollywood’s two top heroines – Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukherjee .
Last seen with Rani in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna , Abhi now awaits two films, Umrao Jaan and Guru , with Ash.
And now the latest tinsel tattle has it that Abhi and Rani have been paired once again for a Yash Raj flick. Filmmaker Aditya Chopra is said to have planned his next venture even as his present project Tara Rum Pum is on the floors.
The film will be a multi-starrer featuring a host of Bollywood stars. Apart from Abhi and Rani, Chopra is learnt to have finalized Konkana Sen , Kunal Kapoor , Jaya Bachchan and Anupam Kher .
The movie will mark the coming together of Abhishek and his mother for the first time in full-fledged roles in a Bollywood film.
The yet-untitled film will be based on a female centric theme. Rani and Konkana will play daughters of Jaya Bachchan and Anupam Kher. Abhi will be paired with Rani, and Kunal will play Konkana’s love interest.
Pardeep Sarkar director of critically acclaimed film Parineeta , has been roped in to direct the movie.
Earlier, Sarkar had approached Vidya Balan for the same role which is now offered to Konkana. But Vidya couldn’t be part of the project because of date problems.
The movie will be shot in Varanasi after the completion of ‘Tara Rum Pum’, which stars Rani and Saif Ali Khan.

No showdown with Rani, says Saif
MUMBAI: Dismissing rift rumours, actor Saif Ali Khan clarifies that neither girlfriend Rosa nor co-star Rani Mukerji are at loggerheads with him. "What's this about a showdown with Rani? Am I mad to have a showdown with her? I mean, come on! Rani and I have shared a cordial professional relationship ever since we did Hum Tum together. That film will always remain special to me. It was my first solo-hero hit," says the Omkara star. "I won't say that Rani and I are close friends. But we connect really well on the sets. We do our work together and move in different directions after-hours," Saif said on phone from New York where he is shooting for Siddharth Anand's Tara Rum Pum. So where did these rumours come from? "When I arrived in New York, I stayed with the rest of the Tara Rum Pam unit in the same hotel. But when Rosa joined me, I wanted us to live in an apartment. I feel that's the only way to get to know a city. "As soon as Rosa and I moved into an apartment news spread that Rani and I were staying in separate hotels. That's truly dumb, man. The last thing we need on a foreign location is the principal lead's tantrums. And do you think we can get away with a showdown in front of the whole unit? We'd had the details of the slaps and punches pasted on the Internet," he says.

Rani Mukerjee missing Durga Puja for movie commitment
“Work is worship,” seems to be the maxim for actress Rani Mukherjee .
Rani is presently in New York, shooting for Siddharth Anand’s movie Tara Rum Pum with Saif Ali Khan .
Back in Mumbai, her household is abuzz with festivities and celebrations of Durga Puja. Krishna Mukherji, Rani's mother rues the fact that her daughter is away on the other side of the globe while their houses in Mumbai and West Bengal are celebrating their 59th year of Durga Puja, which hold great importance to Bengalis.
Rani, who is a religious person, is likely to take out some time from her busy shooting schedules and make it back home on the last day of the Puja.
Last year too she attended the puja on the very final day.
Ever since Rani began her acting career, she has missed the Durga Puja on four different occasions. And every time has been due to her movie commitment.
